The best home security system is that which provides multiple layers of protection for your home.
It should be appreciated that there is no singular best security system for your home. Nearly any security system can be bypassed or deactivated.
You need to determine criminal intent and objective, and then starting right at the perimeter, start implementing different security solutions all along up to the criminals target. The more hindrances you create for the criminal, the less attractive the target becomes.
One point here is that the investment in security solutions should be relative to the value of the target intended to be protected. If you plan on protecting the life of your child (value approximately $3 million) with a $100 security system, which we see daily – then I am afraid that effort is doomed before it get’s started.
With modern day Intelligent Integrated System, we are getting closer to multi-faceted security solutions being provided in a single system.
My company is currently at the forefront of Intelligent Integrated Systems that combine Video and Artificial Intelligence systems that monitor, all the critical areas of a facility perimeter, boundaries, interior, access points for intrusion, and summon armed response services when these intrusions are detected – but even then it often involves integrating different systems.
