Founded in 2000 by Brandon Joubert, Gensix Technology began its journey as The Emergency Supply Company (TESC), specializing in the import and distribution of emergency service supplies. Following a home intrusion in 2004, our focus expanded to include video surveillance equipment, a rarity at the time. This shift marked a significant turning point, leading to the video surveillance business becoming the core of TESC.
By 2005, we had established ourselves as the sole importer and distributor of Dahua, an emerging Chinese brand, creating a national distribution network. We later introduced the TVT brand to South Africa, both of which have grown to be highly successful in the market. Our portfolio also included the Yuxin Camstar cameras, known for their 960H Seawolf technology, and the Huperlabs Video Analytic platform as early as 2006.
As the market evolved and manufacturers lost control of their distribution channels, we transitioned from distribution to becoming an integrated security design and installation company. This transformation led to the rebranding of our company to Gensix Technology, reflecting our expanded services and innovative approach. We continue to use the email address tesc.surveillance@gmail.com for sentimental reasons, honoring our roots.
Today, under the leadership of Michael Joubert, with our founder Brandon Joubert still actively involved, Gensix Technology is an award-winning provider of cutting-edge video surveillance technologies. We proudly manufacture our own brand of off-grid solar surveillance trailers, SolarSUR, showcasing our commitment to innovation and excellence in the security industry.
